  • Aston Martin V12 Vanquish 2+2 - 6 Speed Manual 2002 (Private plate) Green Light

    Description

Unveiled at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show the Aston Martin Vanquish was very special on all counts. It was the last hand-built car to come off the famous Newport Pagnell production lines and was inspired by the Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato. Designer Ian Callum had taken the elegant and classic lines of the past and penned a bold and chiseled look for the Vanquish. As enthusiasts, we marvel at the history, the styling, the machinery and the technology that are infused into a performance car's DNA. However, what ultimately wins our affection is the thrilling driving experience that stimulates our human senses: the V12 Engine's bold and authoritative bark and power and a well-balanced, confidence-inspiring chassis, hand crafted Aluminium bodywork and a beautiful and luxurious interior.

The 2002 V12 Vanquish is the ultimate Gran Turismo that not only delivers top-notch styling, performance and luxury, but most importantly an exhilarating driving experience that excites our senses of sight, sound, smell and touch all at the same time. Insert the key and turn on the ignition, push the starter button and the 5.9 litre V12 quietly comes to life. At idle, this DOHC power-plant is docile compared with most other super-performance sports cars. Select 1st gear and stomp on the gas pedal and the electronic drive-by-wire throttle immediately snaps open, releasing the might of all 12 pistons and delivery of the 450 bhp and 400 lbf-ft of torque is linear and buttery-smooth and the accompanying engine growl is simply mesmerising. The rumble through the twin exhaust resonates in the cabin and it ensures that occupants can hear and feel the car's awesome power. With a 0-60mph of 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 190mph, this is a true supercar!

Its appearance in the 2002 James Bond film Die Another Day earned the V12 Vanquish the number 3 spot on the list of 'Best Film Cars Ever' behind the Mini's from The Italian Job and the AM DB5 from Goldfinger & Thunderball.
