Jaguar E Type S3 V12 Roadster 1971 (K) Silver
Such an unusual car that we have left it on the web site for a while!
Manufactured in 1971 this car is well known in the Jaguar world as "The Egyptian". In 1975 the owner commissioned Clive Miles of the Custom Car Centre in Boscombe, Dorset to create this masterpiece for the Custom Car show at Alexandra Palace in December 1975. It was voted 'Car of the Show' by the visitors and features in many magazines. Specialist paintwork and Egyptian murals were added to all the exterior panels including, door shuts, engine bay, boot and the undersides of the bonnet and boot lid. The bumpers were also removed and early S1 'E' Type headlamp covers were fitted to the bonnet plus a custom rear end, different lights and a cocktail cabinet behind the seats!!
Since its creation it has been through a succession of collectors and the current owner has had it for 14 years.
It has never been restored and is in remarkably good condition, probably due to the amount of paint and lacquer used in its creation! The mileage of 42,000 is 100% genuine and the car does drive superbly. We are looking for offers in excess of ?20,000 for this unusual car, but at this price it could be repainted and re-trimmed and be worth well over ?30,000 in line with other V12 E Types!
However, in many ways it would be a real shame to destroy this masterpiece!
