  • Lancia Fulvia 1.3 Rallye S2 1970 (Historic Plate) Red

    Description

    Lancia Fulvia Coupe HF Tribute / Series 2 / LHD / 1970 / 2 Italian Owners & Low KM’s - Superb ‘Converted & Restored’ Condition @ £24,995

*Vehicle currently in our London workshop being prepared for a full external repaint - Advert reads for the completion of our works*

We are truly privileged to offer to the market this beautiful, highly desirable Lancia Fulvia Coupe. This vehicle started life as a 1.3 S Series 2 (Model 818.630) & was converted at the time of its restoration to a fully blown HF tribute in 2015.

This is an Italian home market black plate 1970 model, first registered on 22nd October 1970 in Palermo the capital of Sicily. It comes complete with its original Libretto & detailed images of the conversion & works done to make this vehicle truly one of a kind. It’s truly beautiful & without exception the quickest Fulvia we have ever driven – Even quicker that the 1.6HF we sold a year ago!

It retains the factory VIN stamp is in the bulkhead along with the front wing stamp & original VIN plate still fitted, along with the original factory block stamp in the motor now fully rebuilt & bored out to 1400 cc, being UK tax & MOT exempt, it comes complete with copious images of the conversion.
This incredible find is a 2 owner car & has a low mileage from new of 54,475 KM’s – (33,850 Miles). This is believed correct by the Italian owner Salvatore, whom ordered the restoration & conversion into the splendid HF tribute that you see before you.

Hand picked by myself on a recent visit to Sicily, in fact we flew in just to view this vehicle. The car was located with the owner Salvatore (Salvo) in Mazara Del Vallo which is a town & commune in the province of Trapano, Southwestern Sicily. It lies on the left bank at the mouth of the river Mazaro. Its port moors the largest fishing fleet in Italy & is a true sight to behold. Saying that Salvo owns the local driving school, not diving school!

In fact the car was originally registered from new in Palermo (PA) so has never left the island!

The first knowledgeable owner cherished this Fulvia & kept it in a conserved ‘Time warp’ state, using it on a regular basis for weekly family outings & to local Lancia & club events until his decision to sell the car to Salvo in December 2014. Salvo purchased it with the sole intension to restore & upgrade the car, which he did in 2015, as an item ticked off his bucket list.

Registration number PA 435158 was certainly a good preserved ‘Time Warp’ example, the paint was original & conserved, but showing small scratches & fading from sun over the years. So Salvo decided to undertake a sympathetic restoration & conversion to an HF tribute.

He has since taken it to what appears to be every Classic & Lancia show on the Island & this car has become very well known & loved.

The following works were undertaken & photographed for the history file, which is unusual for an Italian owner:
The vehicle was taken to the chosen specialist engine shop where the motor was removed along with all the ancillaries, to leave a bare engine bay ready for painting & to allow the motor to be rebuilt on the bench in controlled conditions.

The car then when to the local metal specialist who replace the 2 front floor pans with genuine correct Lancia pans to OE standards. He has done a truly spectacular job & they are the best without doubt that we have ever seen.

It was then transported to a preferred paint shop where the car was fully stripped & prepared for a glass out full repaint in the original glorious Rosso Corsa that you see today. This included the externals, door shuts, engine bay & under bonnet & boot lid, along with the wheel arches & the underside was painted in red correct stone chip. The boot void was also repainted to the correct finish & this is all done to a sensible standard.

The engine shop fully rebuilt the motor to include a full rebore to 1400cc. CPS modified pistons, oversize values, steel flywheel, Dellorto DHLB 35 twin carbs, electronic fuel pump for quicker delivery along with new petrol tank & lines.

Racing exhaust manifold (Beautiful creation) along with a new fully blown sports exhaust system.

The sub frame & suspension was removed & rebuilt & Koni shocks were fitted along with rebushing etc & all fully detailed.

Beautifully recovered dash board, new dash timber facia, new sports extra petrol gauge, original Fererro sports steering wheel fitted.

The car was then fitted with original Cromodora 13 Inc alloy wheels shod with Yokohama tyres, The correct HF arches were fitted, bumper delete, correct HF mirrors, decals, badges & stunning Carrello spot lights – Wow this is a very special car. The owner tells us he spent over 18,000 Euros on the works, which is easy to believe when you view & drive the car.

On arrival to our shores we have conducted a full external repaint in the original Rosso Corsa. The paint work was indeed good for an Italian standard, but not in my opinion to the best UK standards. I felt this special car deserved better & now it has paintwork to be proud of! We have done a full engine service & coolant change along with a full tune, just to be sure! We also got the window wipers working & fitted a premium Bosch battery. Fitted an full OE floor covering set costing over £800 alone & a new Lancia keyring to top it all off!

We also fully detailed the vehicle including a full 3M machine polish of the new glorious paintwork & fresh MOT to complete along with refitting the Italian front & rear number plate holders. Fitted a period correct decal kit, undertook a detailed interior deep clean & filled the fuel with £40 of super unleaded. This stunning car is ready to show or just use on a daily basis. It would make you proud in either circumstance. The car is on the button & ready to go & show or just enjoy…

Fresh MOT with NO advisories. (No MOT required in the UK from 20th May 2018 onwards.)

    Free historic road tax.
The vehicle comes with the original green Libretto, Automotoclub Storico Italiano certificate / papers signed by the president, ACI Paperwork, images of the works undertaken & copious pictures of it at a variety of classic shows on the island.

We will gain a UK Nova certificate if required & it will be ready for the new owner to register, which we can help with or indeed register it ourselves, if required.

Period Lancia Rosso Corsa paintwork, with a full original Nero interior, including original door cards & rear panel cards, complemented by the original specification headlining. The dash top as mentioned is fully recovered & thus has no cracking. New original floor coverings finish the period correct look.

It certainly is an honest, genuine cherished example & now looks resplendent. It has great panel fit, structure & undercarriage. This is one special car & is not to be missed. It’s probably not the cheapest, but think of the money spent on it by Salvo & then us & the value of the vehicle prior to conversion & then car then seems cheap. It will no doubt beat any Safari, Montecarlo or even an HF!

This stunning car is ready for the track, to show or just use on a daily basis. The car is on the button & ready to go, if it doesn’t get the asking price, I will keep this car in my own collection & watch the value go up whilst I have a blast.

You could actually use this example for every day use, transportation to the Revival, or as a contender at classic car shows & be proud of it in any circumstance.

These models are ever increasing in value & are a great investment. Our Lancia’s come recommended by a leading authority on Lancia & parts specialists Ricambio International Ltd. I actually have a dark blue series 2 coupe that also came from Sicily that makes up part of my own private collection & everybody loves it! It always puts a smile on my face, plus you don’t need to worry about the rising petrol prices, just enjoy!

As we are a Mercedes Pagoda and R107 specialist we are always happy to part exchange one of these type of cars or indeed any classic car of excellent quality, so please don’t miss this most fastidious example of the iconic Lancia Fulvia. This vehicle is exceptional value, try & find another as original & tax exempt Please remember you get what you pay for. Our cars are handpicked by a marquee expert & we turn down 8 or 9 out of every 10 cars offered. The cars we sell, are we believe the best of their type & are here to be viewed & driven in the UK. This takes the gamble out of buying a car direct from Europe sight unseen. Our stock comes fully de-registered from the country of origin with the ACI fee paid, UK MOTd, test driven, serviced & detailed. Don’t confuse them with other cars on the internet which have had dubious restorations & are offered with a low asking price. We have had 2 clients bring such cars to us recently bought direct from Italy & both were severe MOT failures with a list of faults ranging from no reverse gear to an undercarriage that requires total replacement. You have been warned! There is always a reason why a car is being sold cheaply! Again you get what you pay for

More photos available upon request, PX always considered.

Can be viewed at any reasonable time by prior appointment.

We will always buy back cars we have previously sold.

Delivery by road, or packed and shipped, or air freight all possible by arrangement at excellent rates, car is ready to drive away today or be delivered to your door.

We are always keen to purchase Mercedes Benz Pagodas (W113) or late 300SL (R107) models, so please give us a call for a friendly chat if you are considering selling, we would love to hear from you. We also hold many parts in stock for the above models & have our own restoration facilities, where we restore these glorious old Mercedes to Stuttgart factory standards.
