Mercedes-Benz 200D (W115) 1975 (P) Yellow
The Mercedes-Benz W114 and W115 models were designed by French auto designer Paul Bracq and were first introduced in 1968 and ran through until 1976 when they were replaced with the W123 series. They were all distinguished by names relating to their engine size and Mercedes also launched its first 5-cylinder Diesel Engine (OM617) in this car.
The Mercedes-Benz W115 is known to be a very durable car and in 2004, a Greek taxi driver donated his 1976 Mercedes-Benz 240D to the Mercedes-Benz Museum with 4.6 Million Kilometers on the odometer, which is recognised as the Mercedes-Benz with the highest recorded mileage known to date.
This very original and unmolested 1975 Mercedes-Benz 200D (W115) is a LHD car that has been Imported from Italy and UK registered as: OKP 107P.
Finished in its original colour scheme of Yellow with Black & Grey cloth trim, 2.0 Litre Diesel Engine, Automatic Transmission and Steel Wheels. We are told that this car only had 2 owners in Italy from new and we are assured that it has only covered a believed genuine 108,000 Kms (67k miles) from new, although we cannot prove this due there being no Italian history with the car which is very normal.
The car is totally rust free with immaculate body and paintwork, excellent chrome-work and a lovely and hardly worn interior. It drives beautifully and flew through its MOT with the exception of a worn propshaft centre bearing which we have now replaced.
Upon sale it will come with our own 6 month Mechanical Warranty which can be extended and upgraded at additional cost if required.
This car really needs to be seen and driven to be fully appreciated.
Car on display @ our showrooms in Mortlake.
