MG B Roadster MK1 1967 (F) Old English White
This beautiful MGB MK1 Roadster - Chassis No: GHN3 - 135169 and Engine No: 18GB-RU-H90325 is a 'matching numbers' car and was built in mid 1967 and supplied by University Motors and first registered in Hertfordshire on 24th March 1968.
It is finished in its original colour of Old English White with Red leather trim piped in White, Red door trims and Red carpets, full weather equipment including a removable Soft Top frame and Black vinyl Hood, Tonneau Cover, 1798cc 4 cylinder 5 bearing crankshaft Engine, 4 Speed Gearbox with Overdrive on 3rd/4th Gears, period Radio, Wooden Mota-Lita Steering Wheel and new Chrome Wire Wheels with new Yokohama Tyres.
The car has an exceptionally good history file with a huge number of invoices, BMIHT 'Heritage Certificate' and ownership history. It was the subject of a complete body rebuild in 1988 when it had new doors complete, front and rear wings, inner and outer sill panels, 2 new floor panels, castle sections and both front and rear valences and was completely repainted. There are invoices in the file covering this restoration.
It was purchased in 2002 by the previous owner in Cheshire who spent over £4,000 on the car during his 13 years of ownership including a new set of HS4 carburettors and an 'Unleaded' Cylinder Head conversion and he sold it after covering 10K miles to the current owner in March 2015.
Since then the car has hardly been used and less than 1,000 miles has been covered in 5 years. It did have a new clutch fitted just after he bought it in March 2015 at 59,697 miles and the current speedo reading is just over 60,200 miles, but we know that this is not its mileage from new as the history file only dates back to 1987. It has just had new lower arms with poly bushes, new drop links along with two new front Coil springs fitted by Crown Classic Cars in St Margarets.
It is currently MOT'd until February 2021 and upon sale it will come with our own 6 Month Mechanical Warranty which can be extended at additional cost if required. It is clear on all HPi registers and has not been involved in any previous accidents and there are MOT certificates dating back to 1987.
This car is in truly exceptional condition throughout and drives beautifully with no issues whatsoever and it really does look stunning in this colour combination.
It is a great car for regular use and for touring holidays as they are generally very reliable cars and all parts are available for MGB's.
They are also cheap to insure and run. ULEZ free and being classified as a 'Historic Vehicle' it is of course MOT and Road Tax exempt.
Car on display @ our showrooms in Mortlake.
