Morris Minor 1000 Traveller 1970 (J) Blue
First registered on 18th August 1970 this beautiful Morris Minor Traveller is finished in its original colour scheme of Trafalgar Blue with Blue vinyl trim and blue carpets, original 1098cc Engine, 4 Speed Manual Gearbox and original steel wheels with chrome hub caps.
It has only had 3 owners from new including the current owners who purchased the car in April 1987 and then commissioned a full rebuild of the car which was carried out over 3 years between 1987 and 1990.
The rebuild included 4 new wings being fitted, new inner wings, new sills, floor sections, chassis repairs as required and all new woodwork supplied by Morris Traveller woodwork specialist S T Foreman in Chichester.
Other parts were supplied by the Morris Minor Parts Centre in Wimbledon and the Morris Minor Centre in Bath including one of their 'Classic' Suspension Kits and Spax adjustable shock absorbers.
The car was professionally repainted upon completion and its condition today is testament to the quality of the workmanship carried out as well as being stored correctly in dry storage when not being used. At the time of the rebuild the car had covered 86,000 miles from new and was used sparingly until 2010 covering only 14,000 miles since the rebuild.
Since then the car has hardly been used covering around 60 miles each year which included taking it for a new MOT and attending the odd car show.
It has a great history file with copies of all V5 registration documents, old Tax Discs and MOT certificates plus it has been HPi checked and is clear on all registers.
The mileage covered now is 100,620 from new and this car really is in superb condition throughout and must be seen and driven to be fully appreciated.
