Porsche 911T 2.4 'S' spec Targa - First registered on 1st June 1973 in London - Chassis No: 9113511170, non-original 'S' spec Engine: 6320416, original '2.4 T' Engine: 6532382.
The car comes with an incredibly extensive history file and full DVLA records of ownership from new, its original Burgundy plastic folder with Handbook and Service book, invoices, photographs of body restoration and MOT certificates showing mileages from Nov 1980 @ 53,758 through to its current certificate on 8th July 2014 @ 46,777 which is 146,777 from new.
On 29/04/1986 the car was exported to Guernsey as a “Gemini Blue” 911S where it was restored over a five year period and this included a full Engine rebuild and body restoration with parts supplied by AFN. The mileage at this time was 86,310.
The car was registered on Guernsey under registration number: “9115” and on completion a new Service Record booklet was started which comes with the car.
It was purchased by the penultimate owner in August 2005 and brought back to the UK and re-registered under its original UK registration number PGK 163L with an odometer reading of 93,254 miles.
The car was taken to Bob Watson Engineering in Middle Aston in September 2005 who removed the Engine & Gearbox and various other components and it was then given to ART in Brackley for a body restoration where it was stripped to bare metal, numerous new panels replaced and completely repainted in its original and correct 1973 Silver Metallic (936). It was reassembled and fully serviced with numerous new parts and detailing and the total expenditure for this work was £21,000.
It was then given to Porsche trim specialists Southbound in March 2006 who fitted a new Mohair Targa roof covering + headlining and some interior trimming totalling £2,334.
The current owner purchased the car in May 2007 with 96,000 miles on the clock after having a full Peter Morgan inspection and he has had further work carried out by JZ Machtech including a full suspension rebuild set up, new Fuel Tank, Brakes, Alternator, Distributor rebuild by Bosch and general servicing. In addition the car went to Autofarm in May 2011 and @ 123,000 miles they carried out a full top end Engine rebuild including new camshafts and a full Gearbox rebuild costing over £13,000.
Due to some corrosion and bubbling of the paint on some panels, the car was given to Impact Prestige Bodywork in Uckfield, East Sussex in August 2012 and they stripped the car, replaced both doors, the bonnet and rear panel (ex Porsche) and repainted the car + stripped off the underseal from the underside of the car, etched primed and resealed in underbody paint. In total since purchasing the car in 2007 and including servicing, MOT's and repairs by Autofarm and JZM, he has spent a further £45,000 on the car, giving a total spend by these two owners since 2005 of almost £70,000.
It was serviced at Autofarm last year @ 138,800 miles and it has now covered 147,000 miles from new and the current owner has covered 42,000 miles in 7 years using the car exclusively during the Summer months.
The car really is in excellent condition throughout and it's fast and drives and handles properly and sounds terrific!
